OK, I am a Muslim - Now What?
You have much to learn and do. After you take your shahadah, you must go home and take a shower and pray. Not knowing how to pray will not invalidate your religion, but it is good to know the basics.
After you pray, you will feel alive and you will feel humbled and you will feel so much love in your heart that I cannot explain. You MUST love Allah and His Messenger more than your mom, more than your family and more than your husband. Following the commands of Allah are very important. We all make mistakes, so don't worry if you sin or fail. Allah is very forgiving, except for one sin and that is the sin of associating partners with him. This pertains to saying that Jesus is the son of God or that he is the Lord. You must believe that Allah is the only God, He is your Lord. |
After this you will hopefully find a class to attend to learn how to be a proper Muslim. Going to a good class is important, but it is not required. Remember going to a class where the women or men are backbiting and not living a devout life is better to be avoided. Sad to say in this day and time, we see more and more people spending their time chit-chatting and little time praising Allah.
What I did to get to know the most devout women of my Mosque was to help serve meals on Friday. After the kutbah (Friday lecture), all the families would gather to eat their diner meal. We served lunch to everyone for a price of course. I so envied all the families sitting together on the lawn enjoying each other's time and yet many Muslims envied me.

This ebook was wrote with love of my Lord. The price is small to help others on their journey. Learn to Love Allah and Prophet Mohammad, PBUH, more than your own life. I give you my life and now read what happen to me and what I did to be better.
